Anna Lorck is proud and passionate regional New Zealander, who is representing and doing more for people living and working in the regions.

A business owner and Hastings resident, Anna has spent her career championing and campaigning for Hawke's Bay, across the community, business and industry.

"I have made it my lifelong ambition to break through regional boundaries and get the voice of those I represent and work for heard by the decision makers.”

Leading on local issues - water, health, housing and education - Anna is making a real difference working and helping the residents of Hastings, Havelock North, Clive and Cape Coast, Flaxmere and across the rural townships of the Tukituki electorate.

“Every local issue I’ve ever worked on has been caused by decision makers not being prepared to listen to the voice of their community or industry.”

Anna brings new energy, fresh vision and positive action. Together with her experience, proven ability and understanding of the challenges and getting issues for regional New Zealanders to decision makers, Anna will make sure the regions prosper.

With a family of five daughters, her heart is in education. Anna’s priorities are to better support youth and career pathways, and to create an environment where people are encouraged and attracted to invest, build businesses and create more full-time jobs in the regions.

Background
Anna grew up in the small rural town Waipukurau, and went to the local primary and secondary schools.
Like thousands of other New Zealanders she has learned her skills and experience on the job.  A journalist by trade, she started as a cadet reporter, at her town’s local community newspaper.  Today, Anna is a business owner in a Hawke's Bay firm which specialises in public relations, marketing and publishing.
During her career, in journalism, public relations, business and politics, she has represented and worked across local industry, for business and many community organisations. Anna served four terms as an elected board member of the Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce and now volunteers time to supporting the HB Primary Sector Industry Awards.  She is a recipient of the Kellogg Rural Leadership Scholarship from Lincoln University.
